Low Medium High
Code Meaning Severity Common Symptom
5E Fridge temp sensor failed Medium The fresh food section does not maintain the set temperature — items may freeze unexpectedly or the compartment may be warmer than the setting indicates. View 8E Ice maker sensor error Low The ice maker ceases operation entirely, with no water filling or ice ejection cycles occurring even though the freezer temperature is normal. View 21E Freezer temp sensor failed High The freezer compartment temperature fluctuates significantly or does not reach the set point, causing food to partially thaw and refreeze. View 22E Fridge fan motor error High The fresh food compartment temperature rises above the set point while the freezer remains cold, indicating a lack of air circulation on the fridge side. View 24E Defrost sensor error Medium A thick layer of ice accumulates on the rear panel or evaporator cover inside the freezer because defrost cycles are not completing properly. View 25E Defrost heater failure High A heavy layer of frost and ice builds up on the back wall inside the freezer over days or weeks because the defrost cycle cannot melt it. View 33E Water leak detected High Visible water accumulation on the floor beneath, behind, or beside the refrigerator that appears during or after defrost cycles. View 39E Ice maker malfunction Medium The ice maker fills with water and freezes cubes, but the ejection cycle does not complete and ice remains stuck in the tray. View 40E Ice room fan error Low Without proper air circulation in the ice compartment, ice cubes stick together and form large clumps that are difficult to dispense. View 41E Freezer fan malfunction High The freezer compartment cannot maintain its set temperature, causing frozen items to begin thawing or becoming soft. View 76C Water valve malfunction Medium Pressing the water dispenser lever produces no water flow, even though the water supply line is connected and the household water is on. View 84C Ice maker comm error Medium The ice maker ceases all operation — no water filling, no freezing cycle, and no ice ejection — despite the freezer maintaining proper temperature. View PC ER Board communication error High The display panel buttons and touchscreen do not respond to input because the display board cannot send commands to the main control board. View
